16th Annual Choristers Guild Festival
His Love Endures Forever!

The theme for this festival was HIS LOVE ENDURES FOREVER! The chosen music was all drawn from verses of Psalm 118. The day included large group rehearsals, a processional art & craft workshop, lunch with table competitions and finally the Concert Service at 2:00 p.m.
Cynthia Williams served as our elementary vocal clinician on Saturday as well as lead us in our Friday evening church music leaders workshop. The topic for Friday evening was Empowered for Lifelong Worship.

- Cynthia Williams, Elementary Vocal Clinician and Friday Evening Workshop Leader
- Cynthia Williams served as President of the St. Louis Choristers Guild 2003-2005. She has been active in the Guild since 1999. Cynthia served as Assistant Director of Music at Dardenne Presbyterian Church for six years. Her responsibilities included Children’s Choir Fellowship Coordinator, Lyric and Chi Rho choir director, Middle School Choir director, Ladies’ Ensemble and Instrumental Ensemble director. Cynthia has been the Music Director and Camp coordinator for the Giddings-Lovejoy Presbytery Music, Arts, and Drama camp since 2001.
- Ms. Williams received her Masters of Music Education Degree from Georgia State University. Her thesis was entitled “Development of a Sequential Vocal Methods Program for the Young Singer.” She is currently working on developing a teacher’s manual and student methods books. While living in Georgia, she sang with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Chorus under the direction of Robert Shaw. In November 2005, Cynthia received the Distinguished Young Alumni Award from College of the Ozarks in recognition of professional achievement in music, loyalty to College of the Ozarks, generous service to her community, and devotion to God.
- Cynthia currently owns and operates “Joyful Noise Music Studio” from her residence in O’Fallon, MO. She teaches voice, piano, woodwind instruments, and theory. Ms. Williams also enjoys composing contemporary Christian music and is striving to become an accomplished Christian songwriter.
- Yvonne Sullivan, Handbell Clinician
- Yvonne Sullivan is a past Chapter President. She has a Bachelor of Music Education degree from William Jewell College, Liberty, MO with additional music studies at Westminster Choir College of Rider University in Princeton, NJ.
- Yvonne recently completed a Music Therapy equivalency degree at Maryville University in St. Louis, MO. She is active as a music therapist with children and seniors.
- Yvonne has directed workshops on chimes and handbells for several groups in the St. Louis area. She is the Interim Organist and Handbell Director at Church of the Master, Florissant, MO. She teaches private organ lessons, is a past Dean of the St. Louis Chapter of the American Guild of Organists, and Chair of the Service Project for the St. Louis Alumnae Chapter of Sigma Alpha Iota. Yvonne's hobbies include cooking and sewing.
